Jerome Magrid was born and raised in a Detroit middle-class neighborhood. He attended Mumford High and Wayne State University before studying in New York City under the direction of Hiro. Magid has been an active photographer for more than twenty-five years, providing general coverage and annual report work for all of the major automotive manufactures and their suppliers. He has published photographs in numerous magazines including, Time, Newsweek, Business Week, and Forbes. He credits his ability to catch the essence of his subjects, to the diversity of backgrounds which he was exposed to during his formative years.
