Born in Detroit, Griffith graduated with a BFA in Photography from the Center for Creative Studies in 1972. He continued his scholastic pursuit with Garry Winogrand at the University of Texas. A most active and productive photographer he has been exhibiting his work throughout Michigan and the Midwest, and in New York and Texas. Griffith has had one-person shows in 1979, 1985 and 1989. He lives in Royal Oak, Michigan with his wife and family.
