DCAC and Detroit Focus present
The Tenth Annual Juried Photography Exhibition

The evening of March 24th marked the opening of the Tenth Annual Juried Photography Exhibition of the Dearborn Community Arts Council. This year for the first time the exhibition was held in cooperation with Detroit Focus. The exhibit is being shown at thePadzieski Gallery inside the brand new Ford Community & Performing Arts Center which the city of Dearborn recently opened. The gallery is state-of-the-art and is located immediately to the right as you enter the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.

Approximately 250 photographs were entered from photographers in the Metropolitan Detroit area. The entries ranged from portraits to landscapes, abstract images to photojournalism, and candid snapshots to nature studies. Michael Sarnacki, the director of Detroit Focus, juried this year's show.

A capacity crowd was on hand for the opening reception on Thursday, March 24 which included a full spread of food and drinks and even a Jazz band. They sure know how to treat photographers in Dearborn!

Detroit Focus is pleased to have worked with Julie Moreno and the staff and volunteers of the Dearborn Community Arts Council and is also pleased to be able to present the top fifteen images as chosen by Michael Sarnacki. We congratulate all of those artists who took the time to print and assemble their photographs for this presentation. We urge you to make the trip to see this wonderful show, which runs through April 23rd.
