Omar has Chadian citizenship as well and is one of the more geographically fluid members of the Justice Equality Movement. Therefore, he is able to coordinate the logistics of clandestine crossings of the porous border between Chad and Sudan. His prayerful ways and elderly status all complement his ability to evade the attention of the authorities in Chad.
