[8-3-04, 5:27 pm] Northern Darfur, Sudan: Two Kalashnikovs belonging to the Justice Equality Movement rebels. Many of the weapons the J.E.M. have at their disposal have come from those soldiers defecting from the Sudan Government’s military. Other weapons, like the heavy guns and even the vehicles themselves, have come from seizing them in battles won by the rebels.
